WordPress 6.9 is scheduled for official release on December 2, 2025.
In advance of that, I have tested and upgraded all plugins published in the Plugin Directory to the WordPress 6.8 environment.
Minimum requirements for the plugin
With this update, the minimum requirements for both the WordPress version and PHP version have been updated as follows:
- WordPress version: 6.8 or higher
- PHP version: 8.0 or higher
Note: This change does not mean that your currently installed plugins will stop working if they don’t meet the requirements. It means that you will not be able to perform new installations or updates if the requirements are not met.

Aside from testing in a WordPress 6.9 environment and updating the minimum requirements, other changes are listed below. For details on the plugins and changes, please check the change log on each plugin’s page.
